Kingfish II's home port is Wenona, Maryland on the southern tip
of Deal Island, which is located in the northeast section of the famed Tangier Sound. Depending on the type of fishing your group has selected and the movements of the fish during a specific period, we may fish within the Sound or the Bay Proper outside of the Sound.

Rockfish
Trophy rockfishing starts in
mid-April and runs until late May. The primary method is trolling for these magnificent fish.

Fish up to 50" are not uncommon. In late May we troll and chum for school size fish until late October when we begin trolling for Trophy fish again. The trolling for Trophy fish is done in Maryland and Virginia waters through the Maryland season, which ends typically in late November and then in Virginia until that season closes in late December.

Late summer and early fall the Trout fishing picks up providing good catches on bait as well as jigging through late fall and early winter.
